NUMBER PLATE FONTS OF AUSTRALASIA: NEW ZEALAND

Licenz  |  2006, David Buck, free for personal use.

Licenz (New Zealand) font specimen (full alphabet)

Font family contains: One weight with uppercase and numerals only.

About this typeface: A replica of New Zealand’s number plate font in use since 2006. Based loosely on Germany’s FE Schrift typeface, with some anti-tampering features, but more regularized in design for smoother aesthetic appearance. (See discussion of Germany’s number plates for more information about plate number falsification.) Includes slightly rounded-off corners to simulate embossed/ roller-coated appearance.

To prevent confusion, note that the font Licenz here is not the same as the similarly named Licenz Plate, which is a replica of the United Kingdom’s number plate font.
