If you’re a firefighter, police, or law enforcement department, EMS/EMT unit, search-and-rescue group, or other emergency response team, your group will receive free custom license plates design work just like our other customers. In addition you can get reflective-surfaced license plates, if you need them, for visibility on the scene of an emergency at night. The only requirement is to meet the minimum order quantity of 5 to 25 to 50 plates, depending on the type of tag.

Experienced commercial artists. In contrast with many other license plate printers, Leeward Productions is owned and operated by experienced commercial artists. That means with over 20 years’ experience both designing and printing EMS and firefighter license plates, you’ll get plates created with distinction — not rough, slap-together designs.

Our fire department plates are printed only on sturdy, glossy aluminum for the longest life and first-class appearance. And, we offer three different grades of plates to meet your needs and budget:

Atlas Duraplates full-color reflective plates (#40066). Our most impact-resistant and deluxe tag, made “prison-tough” with .032-gauge aluminum on an official state license plate production line, using 5 to 7-year non-fade industrial resin inks. Will outlast any other volume-priced plate in the industry. 25 plates minimum order.
Spot-color screen-printed plates (#40001). Basic aluminum durability with a plain non-reflective .024-gauge tag, screen-printed in one or two individual ink colors at lesser cost. 5 to 7-year non-fade inks, 50 plates minimum order.
Full-color commercial eco-solvent inkjet plates (#40101). For smaller EMS, police, and fire department teams without enough members to meet the minimum order quantity for the above two plate types, we also carry a third type of aluminum plate with a minimum order of just 5 tags. On .024-gauge aluminum with a 3-year non-fade rating, this is the most durable alternative we know of to get you “the mostest for the leastest,” when you need just a couple of dozen plates or less at a price that won’t break your budget.

Within 3 business days, your plate layout will be posted to a web page online for your review. Then tell us what you think and we’ll go from there. Once things are to your satisfaction, and your order placed, plates ship out within 1–3 weeks depending on what type of plates you order. The process is simple and straightforward — and we do the work of making sure your plates look like you want, without hassles or the need for design skills on your end.

Imprint Pricing

Custom imprints for team members. If you need to customize plates with specific titles for different members of your team (firefighter license plates, most commonly), we can do imprinting at additional cost. Individual imprints are available only with our state-license-plate-grade tags.
